Hi,

Problem: I had installed one old setup.exe, I want to update this by using quick patch.

I took setup.exe ism file and I added one vbscript custom action to this and I builded the ism file I got one new setup.exe file, and I created one new quick patch ism file and I took original msi as new setup.exe (after extracted).

If I apply this patch to old setup.exe vbscript is not running.

If I install new setup.exe in my system (consisting vbscript custom action) and I applied this patch at that time this vbscript is running, may I know why this is running like this? (we want to run this vbscript custom action for old setup.exe through quick patch) any ideas please share your valuable thoughts.

Properties of vbscript custom action:

I had added vbscript custom action in original setup, script stored in custom action itself. I did this work at ok button (using do action), I gave in-script Execution as immediate execution and execution schedule as always execute. I added this as an attachment.

Thanks for spending your valuable time,
Kirankumar.

You also need to insert yopur action to one or more sequences, as appropriate, using the option fields in the property grid.
