I am trying to use the setuplauncher.exe so a user can run the setup again without being in maintenance mode. that seems to work, but it does not seem to reinstall anything. my test was to delete some files, and run the setup, andthe files did not get reinstalled. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong?

Not sure if I understand correctly. Maintenance mode includes Modify and Repair. If you disable maintenance mode I would not be surprised that Repair doesn't work.
BTW is this a Basic MSI or a Standard project?
