i can't seem to change the INSTALLDIR at runtime using a installscript custom action. If i do the installation stops and never proceeds forward. All i am running is the line:

INSTALLDIR = "C:\\Program Files";

i have tried all sorts of different paths and they all seem to crash. The only time it doesn't is if i set the INSTALLDIR to the default path, but i need it to be dynamic. Its only windows 98 too, all other operating systems work fine with this line.

found a work around, just needed to run the custom action after the sequence event 'ISSetupFilesExtract' and it worked fine. For some reason 98 doesn't seem to like the INSTALLDIR being changed on the fly...
