Hi,
I have read about not using SelfRegister on com components to follow "best practices" but on the other hand people says it works better that the "com extract" solution.
What happens if i set SelfRegister to true on a .net dll? Nothing or will the install fail?

(i guess i could try it out myself, but if someone already have the knowledge...)

If use Self Register on COM component then on uninstalling the application u will see sometimes that in ur CLSID the registry of DLL exist.
However sometimes I see while using a free Distributable DLL self register is required to make it work.
