Can't finish installing the product with message:
Error 1406 - Could not write value VersionMajor to key
UNKNOWN\ProductsE5379A7C966DDB4B8A6A012BAA47F63\InstallProperties.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your
support personnel.
I guess instead of UNKNOWN I should have had some normal key like HK_LM or HK_CU...Where do I
fix it?
Thank all in advance for advice
Max

Have you added this entry yourself? or are you using a commercial product?
You can change this value by editing the registry table but I do not know how it got like this in the first place

I have it all fixed. Used ISD 8.2. The problem was that I changed ProductVersion at runtime. Perhaps to the wrong value. When I dropped the Custom Action changing the PC, all went fine.
Thanks all!

I had this problem when i was using non numerique value for
my product Version.
I fixed it using "numbers" instead of "letters" in product version field
