I get the error " ERROR: The .pcp file 'C:\DOCUME~1\SERVIC~2\LOCALS~1\Temp\~PCW_TMP.TMP\inputcpy.pcp' is invalid."
when trying to create a service pack (msp) from a pcp file.
Can someone tell why this error occurs and how to fix it?

At what stage do you get the error? I've seen issues with msimsp.dll v4 having trouble cleaning out it's own temp files that can cause some errors. With that inn mind try removing that tmp folder and build the patch again.
