How to change item's text on dialog dynamic?

Which method or function can change item's text on dialog while installation or uninstallation?

For example: SetupProgress Dialog has a item which shows current status, when i run a custom action during installation, i want customize the item's text property. what can i do?

As an added bonus, it returns a special value (I believe -1) when the user pressed Cancel during your CA. That is only valid for Deferred CAs - not Immediate, Rollback or Commit CAs.
