I am trying to create a patch between 2 versions of the product using msimsp.exe.
In the patch creation log file, there is an error 'Error: Cannot create patch file for <filename>'.
The file mentioned in the error has changed between the 2 versions.
There is no error code in the log file.
Is there any way to determine what the error is and how to fix it?

Hi,
Is your difference quite large? I have had a very similar problem with a 4MB binary difference that the patch making process was successful, but applying the patch to a valid source gave an error that the file had been otherwise modified. It got to the point where I narrowed down the issue to a single file and created a source and target package of just that one file - the problem persists.
