ive been reading several tutorials about this but i couldnt manage to create a proper update yet :(
Im trying to create an update for an existing msi file.
Its supposed to be just a minor upgrade and change some components.
What is the correct way to do this?
When i replace files INSIDE a component, do i have to change its component ID then, too?

helpful hints, samples or urls are very welcome!

http://www.installsi...ips.htm<p>There is some good info right here on this subject. Component GUIDs shouldn't change unless you change the name of the component.
