A client wishes to apply a new copy protection system to their programs, but no longer has the original exe files, needed to apply this protection.
He only has the files created by the InstallShield process.
Is it possible to extract / rebuild the original exe file from the InstallShield files?
Can this be done automatically?

Run an administrative setup, which will unpack all files.
You'll have a hard time figuring out which file would be installed under what circumstances, especially if you have OS-specific files.
