I have a InstallSHield 7.0.4 Standard Project which is an installation spanning across 3 CDs. On Windows XP, after CD3 is finished, the Finish dialog appears. After clicking on the Finish button, an error dialog appears saying "Windows - Wrong Volume
The wrong volume is in the drive. Please insert volume <CD1's volume name> into drive E." This dialog appears to be coming from Windows XP, not from the installer. It sometimes happens when going between CD 1 and 2, but mostly only happens at the end as described. It also only seems to happen on pristine Windows XP installations, which is what we mostly test on. Dirty XP machines generally work. If you supply CD1, it resolves and the installation is successful, but we can't ship with such an annoyance in the installer.

Guess you have disk change notification/autorun enabled for these machines. And maybe even a CD browser or other program open that you lauinched from disk 1.

I had the same problem too. Fixed it by launching an application at Autorun that copied the CD Browser application to the TempFolder which can then be launched silently by the first application.
Thanks.
Thanks.
