32- and 64-Bit Installations
A frequently asked question is: how can I create a combined 32- and 64-bit MSI package. The short answer is: you can't, because the MSI format requires you to specify the processor architecture in the Summary Information Stream, and you cannot specify more than one type. So you must create two separate .msi files, but you can at least generate them from the same project file in InstallShield, which avoids some duplicate work.
