I have created a very basic script with CopyFile (and XCopyFile) and inserted it into a custom action. To date I have been unable to copy files to their destination and furthermore the msi install seems to quit/crash before it is done - this seems to be at the point where it reaches the inserted custom action. Any clues?

Greetings,
CopyFile should work fine if the CA is sequenced after InstallFiles in the Execute sequence, at least it does for my VBScript ./ JScript actions. Have you enabled installation loggin to try and get more information about the cause of the crash?

Yeah, it seems that particular msi was corrupt. It seems to be working fine now - except for UNC paths...
