Hello
I'm trying to set up an ODBC DSN but I want the server name and the database name to be added during installation. I have used the MsiGetActiveDatabase and other functions including MsiRecordSetString but although the installation completes the value for the DSN does not change and stays the same as the default taken off my computer. I'm not sure where I should run the code from either a custom action or direcrly in the script?

Can any one help?

You can make changes after it's been setup in the registry.

SOFTWARE/ODBC/ODBC.ini

Set the values there for your server name, etc.
