I saw this question asked before and the answer was there was no way as microsoft decided its part of the default setup for Installshield projects. But is there any way to completely remove this link?.

Actually, this is the Windows standard. You cannot change this. You can however configure your setup to not add an entry to Add/Remove Programs control panel (I guess there's a setting somewhere in Express for this, but I'm not sure).
Now you can add registry entries (in Registry view) to create your own Add/Remove entry.
