can anyone help me please i cant seem to change the status of the windows installer to "started" it just leaves the status on "stopping" and i cant change it in properties and this is the problem why i get failed updates for windows update

On my machine the start type is set to "manual". Does rebooting the machine help? Do you remember when the problem started? Can you go back to a restore point before that dateß
