Our intention is to provide a transform that contains properties to configure some options for our application. A couple of these properties are site-specific, which of course means that our customers have to change the values of the properties to use the transform.

What tools are out there that would allow a system administrator to open a transform, change values in its tables, and then save it to apply to a package? I know you can do that through Macrovision's AdminStudio, but what other (smaller and/or cheaper) products are out there to accomplish that?

Macrovision also sells their Tuner product as OEM tool that you can redistribute to their customers. Some of the tools lsited at http://www.installsi...g/gi/msidev.htm and http://www.installsi...o/msirepack.htm can also do this.
