Hallo

Ich habe ein Basic MSI Projekt. Über ein Custom Setup Dialog kann ich mehrere Features auswählen. In diesem Dialog wird als Description die Beschreibung des jeweiligen Features angezeigt. Hier sollte auch die Version der Komponente stehen. Außer den DLLs wird auch ein File hinzugefügt das folgendermaßen heißt: _ver_1.1.0. Der Name ist die Versionsnummer der Komponente. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die aktuelle Version in der Description anzuzeigen. Ich könnte das natürlich immer manuell ändern, aber das ist ein hoher Aufwand bei mehreren Features.

I have a Basic MSI Project. I can choose a lot of features over a Custom Setup Dialog. On the right side of the dialog appears the description of the features. I need in this description the version number of the Component. All components contains a file with the following name: _ver_1.1.0. This is the actual version of the component. How can I add this version in the description of the component.
I can write the version manually in the description, but this is very time consuming.

Es gibt in InstallShield keine Funktion, die automatisch eine Version aus einer Datei extrahiert und in die Beschreibung einfügt. Man könnte für diesen Zweck aber ein Skript schreiben, das die Beschreibung automatisch anpasst (vor dem Build).

Versionsnummern im Namen von Dateien und Verzeichnissen können bei Small und Minor Updates problematisch werden weil man z.B. die Schlüsseldatei einer Komponente nicht ändern darf.
