Hi everyone
I have been trying to convince my team to move from custom scripting based installations to msi. In doing so I have come up with some good points. I would like to know if any one else had to go through this where they had to move from scritping or non-msi based installation system to msi based. What are the advantages and disadvantages that you guys saw in moving to msi?
Please let me know as every team faces different challenges and have different needs, so getting other people's perspective is definitely going to be useful.

Advantage: Administrators have more control over the installation.
Disadvantage: Setup development is harder.
