hi,
I am using installshield basic msi project to deploy my application, after the upgrade that is from earlier version to current version if any file is locked during the file transfer i want to force reboot, so that the file gets copied after the machine is up. How can I do this. In installscript i have using onfilelocked even handler which helps me but here i am not sure. Kindly help me at the earliest.
version used is installshield 12

Windows Installer's standard action InatallValidate should detect any locked files (and should log this to the log file, so create one as a first trouble shooting step) and set the ReplacedInUseFiles standard property. InstallShield should then display a reboot message automatically if you didn't modify the dialogs.
