InstallShield® Software Corporation today announced that the newly available Borland® C#Builder™ for the Microsoft® .NET Framework will include a limited edition of InstallShield Express™ 4. This continues Borland's tradition of bundling InstallShield products with their development tools. InstallShield Express - Borland Limited Edition will be included with all copies of Borland C#Builder.

Borland C#Builder is an independent enterprise development environment for the Microsoft .NET Framework. Based on the C# programming language, C#Builder provides enterprise design-driven development, enterprise database connectivity and integration with Borland and other third-party tools. Combining C#Builder with InstallShield Express provides developers with a solution to more rapidly develop and deploy high performance applications.

Express allows C#Builder developers to create installations with a step-by-step checklist that walks them through installation authoring and setup. Express includes full support for Microsoft .NET Framework-based applications, including the ability to deploy the .NET Framework via a simple checkbox option.

The Limited Edition is missing the patching and upgrading technology, dynamic file linking, and custom actions, that are supported in the full product. An upgrade path to the full version of the product is available.
