Sometimes the installation hangs in the 'Searching for Installed Applications' dialog. This occur in some machines. Anyone knows how to avoid this problem or what cause this?

What do you mean exactly with "hangs"?
If you have an AppSearch entry that searches all local (and maybe also network) drives, this can take almost forever.

With "hang" i mean that the installation stack in the "Searching for installed application" dialog, and take a long time to continue. I don't have AppSearch so this is not the problem. Besides, this problem occurs in some machines.

A log file should tell you where it hangs.
