The MSI30 release is targeted to improve application servicing. Experten vom Windows Installer Team bei Microsoft beantworten Fragen zu den neuen Funktionen in der neuen MSI Version 3.0. Themen sind unter anderem die Erstellung von kleineren Patches die keinen Zugriff auf das Original-Medium benötigen, das Festlegen der Reihenfolge für Patches, die Deinstallation von Patches sowie die Vorbereitung zum Umstieg auf MSI 3.0.
