Prerequisite "kills" my installation process

Hi,

I am installing another product as prerequisite for my application.

It's the "Automation NET PVI V4.2" from "Bernecker + Rainer Industrie" (B+R), an automation company from Austria.

The problem is: the installation "kills"/ends my complete installation process.

Logging and contacting B&R doesn't help or gives me any more information.

During the prerequisite I am calling a batch file which runs the other installation.

The installation of the prerequisite seems to finish and installed properly.

I understand, that might be a main problem of B+R, but why does another process kill my installation?

Any ideas what I can do to keep my installation running?

Best regards

Jörg

If you really mean that your install process is being "killed": Maybe the B+R installer detects, that another setup process is running and kills the process?

My installation process is killed when the B+R setup ends.

If they detect running setups, I would assume they do it on the beginning of thier setup.

Another idea could be, to run the B+R setup when my setup has finished, so they can kill what they want.
