Recently, our platform that we install upon was upgraded to Windows 2000 Server, SP3. Since that time, we are seeing hit and miss recurrances of an error, right before the reboot dialog appears. Here's the error:
"msiexec.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created."
I am developing the installs on Windows 2000 Server, SP3 with ISWI 2.03.
I'm assuming we are seeing issues due to something with the Windows Installer Engine? I've scanned the message board for the past year and had no luck as of yet.
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Looking more closely, I've found that I have an error at runtime: (logged the install)
DEBUG: Error 2835: The control ErrorIcon was not found on dialog SetupError
Internal Error 2835. ErrorIcon, SetupError
The SetupError dialog has an icon for a WarningIcon, but no reference at all to ErrorIcon.
Any assistance appreciated!

I don't think the icon problem is the cause of the original problem as I have seen these messages myself.
