If I run setup.exe from the same PC , twice, such that they now run in parallel...... I thought that this should give some sort of abort screen, saying in general that you cant run two setups? But it doesnt....

Is there any way to determine if your setup.exe is already running?

cheers, thanks,
Devon

You can run the user sequence part of two setups simultaneously, but not the execute sequence.

I want to fix this problem too. Since we get into trouble at the execute sequence with two installers running I want to detect this right away. I am thinking of building my own setup.exe that will do this.

Today I've built the Microsoft SDK setup.exe project and used msistuff.exe to try to make it include the .msi database. So far I keep getting errors.

The InstallShield DevStudio version of setup.exe doesn't seem to be confiugable. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Is there a way to modify that.
