Morning everyone,
I'm pretty new to InstallShield and MSI's.
I'm using IS 11 with a pretty high degree of success.
(Credit should be given to the IS product for this success NOT me.)
I notice, as I read through the various posts, participants refer to CA "types"
IE: 19, 06, etc.
Where might a newbe like me, learn of these various message types and how and when to use them ?
Might these be a "Message types for dummies" somewhere that I might avail myself of ?
I have learned so much by reading these posts.
Thanks in advance to everyone who responds.

http://msdn.microsof...n_reference.asp is the root of the MSDN reference on custom actions and
http://msdn.microsof...ction_types.asp is the page that gives the overviews for them.
The types mostly have to do with when the custom action is executed (immediate/deferred) and how it is executed (dll in binary table, in place js/vbscript, external js/vbscript, etc)
