Hi,
I have a situation where I have to uninstall all the files in a component but leaving a file untouched.
I checked with Conditional Statements, but they are more useful for installing. Can I use a Conditional statement for uninstalling. If yes, what to give?
Thanks & Regards,
Prema

Hi Prema,
If i understood your question correctly, you have to remove all but one file from a component during uninstall?
If so, then i dont think it would be possible. BCos, windows installer will install and uninstall files based on Components. U can make a component remove or not remove, but not the files.
So, u can create a new component and add the file that u dont want to remove to this component. then make this component 'Permanent'.
This way, u can retain back the file u needed and also no condition is required during uninstall.
Hope this helps.
