Hi,
I have the problem with windows installer.

Run "setup.exe", it goes through the usual process of installshield etc. and then it all disappear from the screen like I've never started the setup. Before it all happens it seems that for a fraction of a second some message (error?) appears-disappears on the screen... that's all.

Window installer 2.03.
Win2000 with 384 mb of memory, Celeron 700
Any suggestion?

Just like you know I use
Installer Professional -WIndows Installer Edition.

Are any new msiexec processes started after you run the setup.exe?  Can you run the msi file directly?

First, thank you very much for your information.

I don't have the system reproduce the bug. From my user email, I believe that Installer "setup.exe" has the problem to launch the msiexec.exe.  Window2000  misexec.exe  is one of original OS file. I do not understand where is problem from,  updated, missing or system security.
I spent a lot of time trying to reproduce the bug.
