Hello,
I'm surely missing something small here but it drives me crazy.
I included the .NET Framework 1.1 Objecy in my project under a feature I always install but for some reason it doesn't install. I tried including under other required feature but it still not happening.
What am I missing?

Maybe the framework already exists on the target machine?

The reason is that When the version of msiexec.exe in your target system is different with the one in .net framework, it wouldn't do anything! So you try it after you make the "install msi engine 1.2,2.0" checked when merge objects.
I thought it a bug of IS.
What's more, when you install it, don't open any firewall will be more safe.
