Hi,

I have an installshield application (InstallShield Professional - Windows Installer Edition) which includes some deferred CA to copy some stuff from the CD to the target system. Installation works fine, even uninstall works fine if you uninstall by running the setup.exe again (and than select option remove). The application also creates a shortcut for uninstallation. When you select the shortcut to uninstall i got error 1706 : No valid source could be found for product XXXX.

I think it has got something to do with the fact that I'm copying files from the source, but than i don't understand why the installation works fine by clicking the setup.exe.

Has anyone any idea how to solve this?

Try putting a condtion on the stand action called ResolveSource like "Not Remove".

This will make sure the source is not required on the uninstall.
