I am trying to build an msi using the windows installer but keep getting the error message "The install dialog xxxxxxx is invalid". I get the message for all the dialogs in the project but they are all the standard ones which I have not intentionally changed. I have tried re-creating the project and re-installing the windows installer with no success. Does anyone have any ideas?

You probably have a beta version (1.5) of mergemod.dll on your system, maybe you installed some beta tools like Orca 1.5 or Visual Studio .net. This is a known problem, register a release version of mergemod.dll. For details see the Bugs Bulletin for MSI here on InsallSite.

Yep installed Orca 1.5 - now replaced mergemod.dll and it works fine - Thanks
