I'm pretty sure that InstallShield Expresss automatically adds a UpgradeCode GUID. Why do you think it doesn't? (note that I haven't used Express for a long time so I'm not sure about the IDE)

Ok! I also think 'UPGRADE GUID' is generated automatically.
And I would have found the 'UPGRADE GUID' in 'Product Information' tab.
but, the 'Upgrade GUID' was not shown in 'Product Information' tab.
only, 'Product GUID' wat shown in.
so i thought i have to generate 'upgrade GUID'.
then, where can i find the information of 'upgrade GUID' ?

I'm not very familiar with the Express IDE. Maybe it doesn't show the GUID. But if you add the old msi under the Upgrade item I think it would extract it automatically.
If you need the GUID, open the .msi file in Orca and look at the Proeprty table.
