Hello,

I have inherited an installation that has suddenly sprung the following error:

"The Installshield engine on the machine is older that the version required... ... ... please install the latest version of ISScript.msi" etc.

I have Installshield Developer 7 SP4.
The Setup.exe file version is 7.4.262.
The ISScript Engine 7 (from the installshield downloads site) is installed.
The setup.exe and files reside on "PC A" and is run on an XP Pro machine "PC B" across a network.
The user claims they have supervisor rights.
We have replicated the users' setup with regard to service packs and security updates and do not get the problem.
We do not get this problem on other machines.

This is driving us nuts.

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks,
James

You believe the user? Always validate.
