How to set a permission for folder in InstallShield Developer 8. I have found the permission setting for files only. i can't found the permission setting for folder[INSTALLDIR]. Please help me show the answer..plss?

Not sure if this existed in version 8, but in current versions: Go to Files and Folders view, right lcick the folder, select Properties. On the Properties dialog there's a Permissions button.
If you don't have this in Dev8 then go to DirectEditor (or was it called PowerEditor in version 8?) and add a row to the LockPermissions table.

eemmm... maybe i'm really look so idiot here to tell u.. that i don't find "Direct Editor" utilities either in dev8 !!!.
nothing function call "Direct Editor" or "PowerEditor" here.
can u show me their location.. plss..??

Yup ..Finally, i found the "Direct Editor" at last ,
ok for the permission field
what number i should put for "read and execute","read" and "write" ONLY
