Microsoft Watch and other "relatively reliable" sources say that Service Pack 2 for Windows XP will be released early August, some mention August 4. XP SP2 will also include MSI 3.0, redistributables for other operating systems should follow within weeks. I believe it's a good idea to test your setups with MSI 3 now, and read about the new and changed functionality to be prepared.
