I have an install that, during the middle of it, was ended un-naturally.  Meaning, there was no rollback.  My computer now is wanting me to finish that install before being able to add to or remove the product.

I get the following message everytime I try to reinstall or remove ....

"Another installation is already in progress.  Complete that installtion before proceeding with this install."   It is the standard error dialog in the sence that I only have an OK button to work with.  Which, obviously, closes the button.    

Any help??

In NT 4.0 and 2000 I have been reasonably successful using Restart.  LogOff won't do it.  That will close the installer session, and if the install won't repair itself, you can clean the registry entries out for the package and generally reinstall after that.

I found the Windows Install Cleanup Utility to be a great help with this..
