Hello,
i have the following problem:
i install a NT Service, that works fine.
Then i give the installed service a username and a password.
When i now run a major Upgrade, the username and the password are away, the service stands on "System account"
But i dont want the user always to reenter the password every time i run an update.
What can i do ?????
Many thanks in advance.

Which project type are you using? Please post your question only in the forum that matches your project type. There's no need to cross-post it all over the forum and to send it by e-mail additionally.

Property values are not persited. You could store them in registry, but for a password that's not a good idea. Please try changing the Upgrade setting so that the old version will be removed after the new version has been installed. If that doesn't help you could put the following condition on the DeleteServices action: Not UPGRADINGPRODUCTCODE
