I can't get rid of this warning:
"ISDEV : warning -6487: If you intend to distribute this upgrade as a patch, you should author the 'Patch Optimization' setting on the Advanced Settings panel of the Release Wizard."
I've seen a few other people with this problem, but no resolution. Anyone know how to make it go away? I'm not distributing a patch! I went to "build/settings/compile/link" and set the warning level to "None", but I still get this. I turned off Validation, and still get it.

One option would be to fill in the patch optimization panel in the release wizard. I think this is also useful if you distribute updates as full msi packages.

Old thread, however I ran into the same issue right now.
Here's some more information about origin and reason of that warning
