Other than asking the client to map a drive to the networked resource, what can I do to browse to this resource?

Browse UNC with ISWI

I would like to prompt the user for a network resource using a browser-like dialog, but the controls that come with ISWI 1.52 don't seem to do UNC names.

I had this very problem also, while at InstallShield training I asked the instructor if this was possible and he said "No". I find it hard to believe that you can't map an UNC, but that came straight from the InstallShield Trainer himself so I guess it's not possible.

I have the same problem, too. For a quick workaround, you can use the Installscript function AskDestPath: With this dialog you can browse the network and it returns the UNC-Path...
