Should I could be using a different function? Any troubleshooting ideas?

I'm having a lot of problems trying to call this function in a .dll that a developer gave me. I've tried calling it from a CA and got "the .dll being called is crashed" (that can't be good) and now I'm trying to call it through a script using the CallDLLFx function.

Hi,
I have the same problem.
dll probably crashed if your CA is deferred and you call in this routine some MSI functions. If you try to debug dll you can see in crashed place" Access violation".
Check code of yours dll about MSI functions or do CS is immediately CA (if it's possible)
Hope it help.
