I have an installer I built in Developer 7 that works correctly when run on Win2k, but if I run it on WinNT, it dies about 2 seconds into the install with message "1628: Failed to complete installation." In an effort to make things work, I took out all the merge modules, ODBC settings, and anything else out of the ordinary, but this had no impact.
When I run it with /verbose to generate a log file (as suggested in the InstallShield help file), the log file ends abruptly at "1: Extract supporting files"
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
