Hi, all
I created a upgrade.exe using installshield through patch design view. when I run it, all feature will be reinstalled and will lost many files (it will delete files but some files can not be reinstalled sucessfully).
If I include these lost files with whole files, they can not be reinstalled yet.
Why? any method for this issue? Very Thanks.

You have probably used dynamically linked components. This feature will generate components at compile time. The generated component codes will be different for each build unless you enable the "synchronize component guids" feature.
