Hi
I apply a patch ( .msp file) to an installation on the desktop ( Windows XP SP1) and after completion or cancellation patch, notice temporary msp file(s) left behind on the system
I have seen in the log that at times there is an error "failure to delete the file" with error code returned = 32
Any clues?

Maybe the machine requires a reboot before the files can be removed?

I have seen this problem myself sometimes and have never been able to figure out what was wrong. Are you using any dynamic file linking?
