Hello every buddy.

i have to get the all user common data application path ...
ie for XP : c: document and setting\alluser\application data and for vista also..


i am using the commonappdatafolder , but there is no folder like this.

i m using instalsheild 2008 an dwindow installer 3.1

Hi,

 

U can use CommonAppDataFolder variable but because of baqckward compatibility that variable some times creates problem,so you can use below registry entry for accessing commonappdata folder

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

 

Here you check for value Common AppData.
