Hi Gays

I have a problem...

I install merge modules from MSDE 2K SP1. After, my package install don´t install any more.

this is because MDAC 2.6 merge module...

Hi,
Workarround for you: don't include MDAC as a merge module in the project. Check the version of MDAC before do anything and prompt to user to install MDAC at first. The user can click "Yes" - interrupt installation, "No' - continue installation with old MDAC.  Put the MDAC 2.6  package in your CD, you can get the latest version on http://www.microsoft...a/download.htm.

I am sorry, I mean don't include MDAC as a merge module in the own installation project, but don't exclude it from existing MSDE.

Hello,

I have one basic question.

How to check that MDAC is already installed on the target PC ?

I also have to install MDAC during my installation process. My target PCs would be NT4.0 or Win2000 or WinXP.
