hi,
i would build a patch for my product, with which i just want to add some data files ( not any bin file ) in a new component in an existing feature. (because theses files must be install in a new directory...).
Must i really do a major upgrade, and change Product version & product code ? i can't believe it!?
Please help.

i re-ask my question in another way:
when my product is installed, i have a data directory, and i want to create an add-on which installs in this directory a new subdirectory with some files.
To do this, i can make a zip file, but if user had change install directory, he must change also the extract directory of the zip file...
So i'd prefer make a MSI patch or something like that, if it's possible, but i certainly miss something because i don't understand what to do without change product code ?
