In version 8 you were able to create virtual directorys in IIS without having to define a website name. In version 12 you are required to create them under a website or specify an existing website such as the "Default Web Site". This works fine for just plain english installs but the problem is what happens for other languages? Specifically in the case of installing a German version of your product on an English OS? So in the case having string files is not an option. Is there a way during installation time that you can determine the "Default Web Site" name for the version OS being installed too.??

Hi,

I started with Installshield this week and I have the same problem. The Installer delivered with VS2005 does also not need an Web Site.
