Hi,

is there a way to get the full Qualifyed DNS-Name of the target machine in InstallScript?

The only way I found is to search the Registry for

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\

Hostname
Domain

is this the right way?

Yes, those are the entries to be taken.  The domain regValue would be present if the user/administrator has provided the domain name in the Network properties -> TCP/IP properties -> DNS -> Domain entry.
