Are there any books out about isd7? I'm familiar with installshield 6, but am having a hard time with isd7. I also have no experience with windows installer.

There are currently no books about ISD, but there's one book about InstallShield Windows Installer, which is the predecessor of ISD. The book also includes an introduction to Windows Installer. For more information look under Windows Installer -> Books here on InstallSite.
